Blackberry crée Passport, son nouveau téléphone carré

Blackberry commence à  déployer son nouveau téléphone Passport. Sans entrer dans les détails techniques, deux caractéristiques attirent l’attention. La première est bien sà»r la forme carrée de son écran qui se différencie des smartphones habituellement destinés à  la consultation de contenu multimédia. Blackberry se distingue et réaffirme ainsi son positionnement d’outil « professionnel » principalement destiné à  des échanges types d’email et pas pour le surfer comme le rappelle le blog PresseCitron :

Si nous pouvons considérer que les écrans rectangulaires sont idéaux pour les applications de divertissement, BlackBerry soutient que pour la lecture et la consultation de documents, «  le nombre optimal de caractères dans une ligne est de 66 caractères   », alors que les écrans aux designs rectangulaires n'en afficheraient que 40 sur une ligne. De ce fait, le «  Passport   » de BlackBerry serait donc idéal pour la navigation web, la lecture et la consultation de documents.

Le deuxième élément distinctif du Passport réside dans son clavier physique auquel une fonctionnalité tactile a été ajoutée pour offrir une navigation plus efficace comme Blackberry le présente sur son site ici:
